Chuck began his career in the Fire Service in 1972 as a seasonal firefighter with the Lakeside Fire Protection District and was hired as a career firefighter in 1976. He served as a Fire Investigator for 19 years, Fire Prevention Officer for 1-1/2 years, and as a Deputy Fire Marshal for 6 years, specializing in Community Development and Engineering.After retirement from Lakeside, Chuck has been employed by a major University as an Assistant Fire Marshal responsible for campus planning. Chuck teaches California State Fire Training Fire Prevention Officer certification classes as an independent instructor.
Chuck is currently working on a Fire Protection Engineering Masters Degree at Cal Poly University.

"I have personally known Chuck for twenty plus years as related to the fire service. Chuck is held in high regard throughout the San Diego County Fire Prevention Officers group as well as the Fire Marshal’s.
